Nala, Felix, and Carlota
We had just gotten through a very difficult moment after saying goodbye to Jara, our beloved German Shepherd whom we had adopted. We missed Jara so much and felt a huge void in our home. We had gotten so used to being accompanied, to going out for walks every day... and we missed that so much...
After a few months during which we allowed ourselves to heal the wounds and remember Jara with joy instead of sorrow, we decided it was time to open our doors to a new adventure companion. It was then that Nala appeared, a German Shepherd full of energy and craziness who won us over from the very first moment we met her at that farm in Órdenes. In February 2022, Nala came into our lives, bringing with her a lot of joy and love, along with a headache or two with her XL puppy mischief.
From the very first moment, Nala won our hearts with her unique quirks and antics, like the way she sits on the couch like a lady, how she stands on her two legs on every bed she comes across, or how her head seems to weigh a ton every two seconds as she constantly looks for places to rest it.
Adapting to life with Nala was not a bed of roses, to be honest, especially considering that life in the city is not the same as on a farm. Although she has always lived happily, the large number of dogs in the area where we live and the few nearby places for Nala to run freely (something she loves) made it quite complicated. She was and still is a very active dog, and on top of that, a German Shepherd, so little by little Félix and I found ways for Nala to play freely without any fear. When we discovered the existence of the Kolyy GPS collar, a light opened up in the sky for us. Thanks to it, we were able to solve several problems we had: on one hand, thanks to the activity tracker, we were able to understand her better and adapt to her needs, providing the necessary activity she needed for her breed and age, and not feeling bad thinking that the dog was bored and sleeping all day; on the other hand, Nala could run both on a leash and off-leash on routes we found without so many crowds of dogs and people, which changed the way we all experienced walks and sports together. Nowadays, thanks to finding the collar, Félix, Nala, and I have a calmer life and a much stronger bond thanks to the peace of mind we have achieved with Kolyy, and we enjoy every moment to the fullest. Now we dare to do anything, whether exploring new routes, at the beach, or anywhere, but we can also relax at home without fear of not being able to give Nala her daily dose of craziness. The peace and calm we share as a pack was a goal that sometimes seemed impossible but has become a reality.
