Lemon and Carla
Limón came into my life more than 5 years ago, as a discarded podenco puppy from hunting, left in a box at the door of a veterinarian in Almería. Thanks to Nueva Vida Adopciones, he ended up with me in Madrid. From a young age, I have always lived with animals among dogs and horses, but since I adopted Limón, I knew he was different.
Limón is independent and stubborn, a "dog of many opinions," but also noble and affectionate. Although he is not a difficult dog, in the field he becomes a whirlwind with selective hearing. That is why, when I met Kolyy, I knew he would be ideal to take care of him in case of emergency. I learned a lot about dog training with Limón, especially to make our walks safer. And, although we are still working on it, the effort has been worth it.
We do everything together. On weekends we spend time in the countryside, and during the week he is an urban dog that accompanies me anywhere. When traveling, he always comes with me. He loves water: in beaches or rivers, he swims without anyone calling him, and then he gallops along the shore splashing water and chaos.
Limón became the companion I needed. Just by looking at him, I know that he is by my side, in good times and bad. He is my loyal friend and accomplice in this life stage. They say that dogs who arrive in your 20s are always remembered, and now, in my 30s, I hope we have many years ahead to continue together and create more memories.
