Enso, Roy and Mikel

My name is Mikel and I had my faithful companion “Enso,” a white Boxer who was almost 10 years old… although they called him Enzo, the truth is that his name comes from Japanese and means circle… It symbolizes enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe.

About 4 months after Roy arrived, we went through an operation on a back leg due to a skin tumor, and it got complicated afterwards because the wound was left open, and we had to go for dressings every 3-4 days for almost 3 months… when he recovered, I felt he needed company besides mine… he was a super sociable dog with all living beings! And the opportunity to adopt Roy came up when he was just 2 months old and he was the only one left of all his siblings who had already been adopted…

After driving 500km one way and another 500km back, Roy was home with Enso. They were together for about 10 months. Enso taught him much more than I could teach him in years! To walk off-leash, to be home alone when I work, to greet everyone 😂 and a thousand more things… In November, Enso got sick from pancreatitis, and after doing tests, they found several tumors, and although for 5 days they tried everything, he couldn’t eat and weakened a lot, and the moment came when he was suffering instead of living, and I made the tough decision to let him rest… Luckily, despite missing him a lot, there is Roy or Roy Z as I call him because he is a little whirlwind, hahaha, and until today 😊
